One of the greatest examples of courage and dedication to the game for the current generation was when Rishabh Pant batted on Day 2 despite having a fractured right toe. When India lost their fourth wicket on the first day of the fourth Test match against England at the Old Trafford, the left-handed batsman had entered the game at number six. Pant had to walk back injured on 37 after being struck on the right foot while attempting a cunning reverse sweep.
The 26-year-old was not allowed to play in the fifth Test, and he was definitely not making an appearance on the pitch. But to everyone’s amazement, he took the pitch when Shardul Thakur was removed. Sachin Tendulkar, who is known as the God of Cricket, was amazed by Pant’s resolve to play for the team even if it was difficult for him to do so. He expressed his gratitude for the young person on social media.
“Resilience is about playing through pain and rising above it,” Tendulkar wrote as the caption for his photo of the Indian great. By returning to the game after suffering an injury and putting on a performance like that, @RishabhPant17 demonstrated incredible character. His fiftieth anniversary serves as a potent reminder of the perseverance and fortitude required to serve your nation. It was a courageous endeavour that will live on for a very long time. Excellent work, Rishabh!

India surpasses 350 thanks to Pant’s tenacity.
The Indian squad appeared to be having some difficulties, and it was uncertain if they would be able to score a respectable amount. But in his knock, Pant was able to hit a few of boundaries, which helped India surpass 350 runs in the first innings. Jofra Archer’s pearler forced the wicketkeeper-batter to come back for a valiant 54 off just 75 balls.
During his second spell, Pant scored 17 runs with the bat and formed a tiny but significant partnership with Washington Sundar (27), which might be invaluable as the game progresses. With his 61-run effort, Sai Sudharsan was the top scorer for India, which scored 358. The Indian pacers will have enough of evidence to limit the opposition as a result of Pant’s efforts.
