Cricket South Africa (CSA) revealed their 15-man team for their match against Australia in the World Test Championship final 25. The match between South Africa and the Pat Cummins-led team is set to start on June 11 at the Lord’s.

The setup featured every player from the Proteas’ series against Pakistan, with the exception of Matthew Breetzke and Kwena Maphaka. One noteworthy addition was Lungi Ngidi, who hasn’t appeared in the format since August 2024. A groin ailment kept him out of the series against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, but he is now fully recovered.
Ryan Rickelton is anticipated to share opening duties with either Aiden Markram or Tony de Zorzi in the top order. If the think tank fields two spinners at Lord’s, Senuran Muthusamy will take on the spin-bowling duties alongside Keshav Maharaj. It is unclear till match day whether one or both of them make it to the playing XI.
Dane Peterson, Ngidi, and Kagiso Rabada will spearhead the pace push. There will also be all-around players like Corbin Bosch, Wiaan Mulder, and Marco Jansen. The XI that South Africa chooses to use is still up in the air.
