Temba Bavuma Returns in South Africa A Squad for India

In preparation for the two-match Test series against India in November, Test captain Temba Bavuma has been added to the squad for the second First-Class match as he works to recover from injury. Marques Ackerman will captain both sides.

The South Africa A team has been announced for their forthcoming multi-format trip of India. Three one-day matches at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot and two four-day matches at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru are scheduled.

Kyle Simmonds, a bowling all-rounder who is 31 years old, has been called up to the four-day SA A team for the first time. The List A squad has, however, added all-arounder Delano Potgieter for the first time.

South Africa. Wandile Gwavu, the head coach, said he was excited to tour India with a group of players who had substantially improved their ability to handle the country’s dry and dusty spin-bowling conditions.

“We are excited for this tour and are ready to face the challenge of playing India in their home country. Many of the players will be playing in the subcontinent for the first time, so it will be a good test of our improved bowling and playing skills. “As a team, we’re definitely up for it,” Gwavu said, according to SuperSport.

Additionally, he highlighted how crucial the forthcoming tour—and especially the multi-day series—will be as a learning experience for the up-and-coming South African talent.

Playing in India usually requires flexibility and mental endurance, and it has been a while since South Africa A last visited the country. Our players will benefit greatly from experience on subcontinent surfaces and the ability to adjust to different circumstances, particularly in the red-ball format, as we continue to prepare for upcoming tours and possible Proteas possibilities,” he continued.
