After winning their 14th straight T20I series at home, dominant India will try to maintain their supremacy against a weaker Australia. The five-match T20I series final between the two nations will now take place in Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Australia won a key toss and chose to field first in the fourth Twenty20 International. The Indian opening pair put up a partnership of 50 runs, which was a respectable start. But Aaron Hardie’s dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal ended the promising collaboration. Tanveer Sangha and Hardie teamed up shortly afterward to send the top order back to the pavilion with a score of 63/3. India reached 174/9 because to 46 from Rinku Singh, 32 from Ruturaj Gaikwad, and an important contribution from Jitesh Sharma.

Australia had a good start with a respectable first stand while chasing 175. But after Josh Philippe was removed for eight runs by spinner Ravi Bishnoi, the tide soon turned. Before long, Travis Head fell for number thirty-one. Australia were losing wickets often, with only Matthew Wade (36), and Matthew Short (22), being able to provide any kind of resistance.

Throughout the innings, India’s bowlers applied constant pressure, holding Australia to 154 for 7 in 20 overs. The home team won by a comfortable 20 runs thanks to this victory. This will be the second time these two teams have faced off at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, where the fifth T20I will take place. In the first instance, Australia won by seven wickets with two balls remaining.

Pitch report for M Chinnaswamy Stadium T20I Records:

In limited-overs cricket, especially in the Twenty20 International format, Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium is a batter’s paradise. High scores are common, with both pursuing and setting totals above 200 occurring frequently. Pacers may swing and bounce the ball well because of the short boundaries and quick surface, which frequently favors the hitters. But occasionally, spinners can also succeed.

T20I Stats & Records at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium:

The pacers have claimed 46 wickets at an average of 27.17 in as many as eight games at the venue, while the spinners have claimed 34 wickets at an average of 24.70. Batting first teams have won two games, while pursuing teams have won five and one has ended in a tie. Here, 139 is the average first-batting score.
