Top spot in the T20I all-rounders list was shared by Wanindu Hasaranga and Shakib Al Hasan.

The slight error thus propelled Wanindu Hasaranga, the captain of Sri Lanka’s Twenty20 international team, to the top rank, which he currently shares with Shakib (228 rating points). In the one match that Hasaranga played following his suspension for the first two Twenty20 Internationals of the three-match series against Bangladesh, he amassed a 13-delivery fifteen, but he also conceded 32 runs and was dismissed twice. The 26-year-old was named Player of the Series after amassing 102 runs and four wickets in the course of the tournament.

Wanindu Hasaranga breakthrough, though, came in the Afghanistan T20I series, when three games were played on the other day.

Following the conclusion of the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka and Bangladesh-Zimbabwe series, which finished 3-0 and 1-2, respectively, the ICC Men’s T20I rankings have been updated.

Following his performances in the last several Twenty20 Internationals in the five-match T20I series, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan’s rating suffered a three-point drop after he returned to T20I cricket after an almost 10-month absence. After the southpaw was bowled out for just one run in his comeback batting, he recovered with the ball and took four wickets, despite costing a little more than most of his bowling colleagues. Though he had the best economy rate by a wide margin, the veteran’s performance in the fifth Twenty20 International proved to be much more well-rounded as he scored 21 (17) in the first innings before giving up just nine runs in his quota.

After sorting through the pile, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi takes third place with his location, only 10 rating points behind the top two. Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe, meanwhile, moved up two places to take fourth place. Aiden Markram of South Africa dropped a spot to fifth.
