Zim Afro T10's second season is scheduled to start on September 21

10 JULY 2024: The much anticipated Zim Afro T10 event will return for its second edition, Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) is happy to announce.

The fastest and most exciting version of cricket will take front stage starting on September 21 and culminating in a big finale in Harare on September 29. Soon, the player draft dates and the schedule will be revealed.

Like the first season, every game in the explosive T10 competition will take place at the storied Harare Sports Club. This is the first time such a tournament has been held in Africa. Zim Afro T10 made history in its inaugural year by being the first competition held at Harare Sports Club under floodlights. The excellent cricket not only attracted the many fans who showed up every day, but it also strengthened the Zimbabwean cricketing community.

After seven highly successful and exciting seasons in Abu Dhabi, the T10 franchise-based league expanded to the United States of America, Sri Lanka, and of course, Zimbabwe. The league has been working to increase its global reach.

“We are delighted to be opening our doors again for the Zim Afro T10 tournament,” ZC Chairman Mr. Tavengwa Mukuhlani stated in a statement before to the second edition.

For us, the inaugural season was nothing less than a festival and a celebration of the sport, and we anticipate even more of that this year. Our white-ball team has benefited greatly from the T10 league’s high standards for cricket, and I have no doubt that they will continue to have a significant, beneficial influence on our ecology.

The founder and chairman of T Ten Global Sports, Mr. Nawab Shaji Ul Mulk, stated: “We are eager for the second chapter of the cricketing extravaganza in Zimbabwe to begin.” Following an amazing first season, we have an obligation to make sure that the cricket being played is of the greatest calibre, giving the supporters what they want and allowing the nation’s cricketing community to gain from the Zim Afro T10. We are thrilled to be returning, and we pledge to dazzle and amaze everyone in Zimbabwe while illuminating the nights at the Harare Sports Club.
