Suyash Sharma names RCB GOAT, not Virat Kohli or AB de Villiers

Earlier this year, Suyash Sharma was instrumental in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Although the gifted leg-spinner may not have taken many wickets, he was a good compliment to fellow spinner Krunal Pandya and helped RCB thrash opposition teams in several games by dominating them in the middle overs.

The 22-year-old recently participated in the Delhi Premier League’s second season (DPL). He was a member of the Outer Delhi Warriors. In eight games, Suyash Sharma took nine wickets at an average of 26.89. But after placing eighth in the standings, the Warriors were unable to make it to the postseason.

Chris Gayle was chosen by Suyash Sharma as the RCB’s GOAT (Greatest of All Time) in a quick fire on the DPL sidelines.

Midway through the 2011 IPL, Dirk Nannes was replaced by the West Indies opener. He scored an aggressive century for RCB in his IPL debut. In addition to winning the Orange Cap twice, Gayle developed into a key member of the RCB lineup in the ensuing years.

The greatest score in IPL history is also possessed by the left-handed batter. In 2013, he scored 175* from 66 balls in a match against Pune Warriors, India, to accomplish the feat. He amassed 3163 runs for RCB in 85 games between 2011 and 2017 at an average of 43.33 and a strike rate of 152.73. In addition, Gayle recorded 19 fifties and five hundreds. His partnership with AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli was dubbed the “holy trinity of RCB” because they worked together to help the Bengaluru-based team win a lot of games.

Gayle and de Villiers joined Kohli in celebrating RCB’s IPL victory following the June 3 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which was appropriate. On social media, images of the three of them hoisting the coveted IPL trophy went viral. One of RCB’s standout players of the season, Kohli scored 657 runs at an average of 54.75 in 15 innings.
