Mohammad Nawaz was dismissed by captain Suryakumar Yadav’s deft play and perfect throw during India’s Asia Cup Super Fours match versus Pakistan in Dubai. The 19th over was when the dismissal occurred. Salman Agha took for a brief run after attempting to move Jasprit Bumrah’s full toss off his pads into the square leg. At the striker’s end, Nawaz finished a single but then strayed outside his crease.
Suryakumar Yadav aimed the toss straight for the striker’s stumps from mid-off rather than to the bowler’s end.
Nawaz, who was still walking with his bat in the air, was caught short of the crease when the ball bounced before striking the wicket. The southpaw was run out for 21 off 19 balls after the delayed referral verified his dismissal. Upon his runout, coach Mike Hesson became enraged.

Earlier, considering the dew effect, Suryakumar chose to bowl first after winning the toss. For this highly anticipated match, each club made a few lineup adjustments. With Sahibzada Farhan leading the innings and Fakhar Zaman attacking during the powerplay, Pakistan got off to a strong start. Pakistan kept the scoreboard moving despite losing wickets at regular intervals, and Farhan’s fifty gave them a significant boost.
Farhan’s 58 off 45 balls had coordinated the Men in Green’s innings. Before Dube hit twice, he and Saim Ayub made a respectable stand. Salman Agha (17* off 13) attempted to level the playing field while Hussain Talat and Nawaz were unable to capitalise.
Faheem Ashraf, who hit 20 off just 8 balls, including two sixes, provided the late push. Pakistan concluded on 171/5 in their 20 overs, even though India missed a few deep-ball opportunities. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav finished with one wicket each, while Dube took two wickets for India.
