In the third Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka, Suryakumar Yadav hits a unique ramp shot on his way to a century but falls in the process

There is a justification for why Suryakumar Yadav is regarded as the best Twenty20 International hitter in the world. In the third Twenty20 International match between India and Sri Lanka, which took place on Saturday in Rajkot, the great India player once again impressed cricket fans all around the world by scoring 112 runs off of just 51 balls.

It was his third century in T20I competition. Only 45 balls were needed for him to achieve the century milestone. His innings had nine sixes and seven fours among its runs scored.

The bold strokes that Suryakumar played at what seemed like regular intervals stood out as the most notable aspect of his innings. During the third Twenty20 international, Suryakumar made shots appear easy that other batsmen might have thought were impossible.

During the 13th over of the Indian innings, a shot of this kind was hit, and the Sri Lankan pacer Dilshan Madushanka was the one who had to face the music.

Suryakumar, who was batting, made his way across the crease and blasted a six over short fine leg after facing a high full ball.

During his attempt at a ramp shot, Surya moved ahead of himself and flicked the ball behind him. He ended up falling to the ground throughout the process, but he managed to keep his balance well enough to strike a six.

In reference to the game, India lost wickets within the first six overs of their batting innings after they made the decision to bat first. However, Suryakumar and Shubman Gill (46) put together 111 runs to create the groundwork for the formidable score in Rajkot.

Suryakumar, who is renowned as a 360-degree player because of his ability to play in all areas of the field, reached his third Twenty20 century for India in just 45 balls, establishing his status as the best batsman in the world for this particular format.

Left-arm quick Ishan Kishan, who batted left-handed, was sent back after being caught at slip by Dhananjaya de Silva in the first over after Dilshan Madushanka struck him with a ball.

The 31-year-old Rahul Tripathi, who had just made his debut in the match before, then came back with Gill for company as he hit Maheesh Theekshana for three fours in the fifth over. Gill was also a part of this.

Tripathi hit fast bowler Chamika Karunaratne for two consecutive sixes, but he was caught out while trying to get another boundary run. He made 35 off 16 deliveries.

After reaching his fifty in only 26 balls, Suryakumar gained control of the game with his all-round striking, which included three sixes struck with his signature scoop shot over fine leg.

In the 14th over from Theekshana, Gill and Suryakumar, who collectively struck seven fours and nine sixes, hammered 23 runs to contribute to the charge that was already underway. At the end of the game, India scored 228 runs in 20 overs.
