Suresh Raina in Canada Super 60

Former Indian cricket player Suresh Raina will play in the Canada Super 60 from October 8–13 at BC Place in Vancouver, which will be a huge boost to the competition. Raina, who is renowned for his superb fielding and explosive hitting, will play for the Toronto Sixers in the league. It is anticipated that his involvement will attract sizable numbers and create a great deal of excitement among Canadian supporters.

In the next edition, the left-handed hitter will be paired with well-known international players like Jason Roy, Andre Fletcher, and Alex Hales.

Regarding his involvement with the Toronto Sixers, Suresh Raina stated,

Being a part of the Canada Super 60 excites me greatly. It already seems unique because this is the first edition, and it looks to be a top-tier competition. I’m excited to play with the Toronto Sixers and help the team succeed because they have a well-rounded roster that includes both Canadian talent and some well-known international players.

Additionally, Canada Super 60’s founder and chairman, Abhishek Shah,

“Having Suresh Raina in the competition makes us very happy. He contributes a plethora of experience in addition to stellar value. He will have the opportunity to mentor young and up-and-coming athletes both on and off the pitch, which will greatly accelerate their development.

The Toronto Sixers’ CEO, Sami Faridi, stated,

“Having someone like Suresh Raina on our team is a huge honour. He has participated in some of the world’s most prestigious competitions and has won the World Cup. We will greatly benefit from his extensive knowledge in the shorter format.

On October 8, 2025, the Toronto Sixers will play their inaugural game versus the Brampton Blitz.
