Sunil Gavaskar calls the media in England the "biggest whingeing in sport" prior to the India Test series.

In a playful jab at the visiting team, former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar called out the ‘greatest whingeing and complaining media in sport’ ahead of India’s five-match Test series against England. A lot of doubts about the surface have been raised since the previous Test match between India and South Africa ended in less than two days. The Indian players, however, were willing to test themselves and had no trouble playing on such a ground, according to captain Rohit Sharma. However, he added that when the visiting team travels to play on the subcontinent, they should also not be dissatisfied with the surfaces.

Keeping that in mind, Sunil Gavaskar brought up the fact that England consistently complains about the surface when they visit India to play Test cricket.

Anything that doesn’t work for their squad, he continued, will face criticism from the media. The former cricket player also poked fun at other nations in the South Atlantic and exposed their prior hypocrisies.

These kinds of justifications, claiming the curator made a mistake, are common in SENA nations. Before the third country umpires took over, decisions made by their umpires were rationalized as “human error,” but our umpires were called “Delhi Butchers,” cheaters, and the like, according to unil Sunil Gavaskar Mid-Day column.

“After around three weeks, a new Test series will begin, featuring a nation with the loudest complainers and whiners in sports media. Allegations will spread quickly and widely and anything that doesn’t fit their team will be criticized, the 74-year-old continued.

England is scheduled to arrive in India on January 22, with the first Test scheduled to start in Hyderabad on January 25. Prior to that, Ben Stokes’ team will camp out in the United Arab Emirates with the main goal of tackling spinners. A dedicated chef will also be traveling with the Three Lions for the lengthy series.
