The Nagpur police prevented Raghavendra Dwivedi, often known as Raghu, the throw-down specialist for the Indian team, from entering the Radisson Blu Hotel as the squad arrived in the city for the February 6 opening ODI against England. The police mistook the veteran for an intruder as he got off the team bus with the players and failed to recognise him.
It was shouted by the video journalists at the scene to inform the officers of Ragu’s identification, “He is coach.” But the matter was settled once the cheerful coach handled the situation politely. On his “X” account, Washington Sundar posted a photo of himself with Raghu with the message, “Our own.”

Aside from the ODI series, Jasprit Bumrah
India dominated the final Twenty20 International in Mumbai by a massive 150 runs, and they won the series 4-1. They will play England in three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), with the first match starting at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on February 6. On February 19, the series begins the build-up to the pivotal Champions Trophy 2025. On February 20, India and Bangladesh will play their first match in Dubai.
India’s inability to field Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the opening match is a setback. Although Bumrah was originally part of the team, he was dropped out because of his back strain problems. He is currently rehabbing at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The standout pacer, however, has been replaced by Varun Chakaravarthy, who had a terrific T20I series.
