Right-arm seamer Josh Hull, who made his debut for England in the third Test match between England and Sri Lanka at the Kennington Oval in London, was examined by Stuart Broad. In addition, the renowned England sailor recommended a modification to Hull’s technique that would enable the young player to get more bounce.
Hull is the tallest pacer to have ever played for England, standing at 6 feet 7 inches. Stuart Broad proceeded to elucidate the technical elements of Hull’s bowling motion, stating that his speed will only increase with age.
“I’m incredibly impressed. He’s been singled out for qualities. He was able to get the ball to swing back into the right-handed hitter with his height and bounce. In a test match, an average of 83 mph is acceptable, but as he ages, he will get faster. I believe that with time, his run-up will change. It won’t last as long as it does now, in my opinion. The most important thing to me is that he is positioned to force the hitter to play since his feet and hips are facing the target, said Broad.

On the fourth day of the third Test, Hull and the other England pacers will need to perform very well because Sri Lanka just needs 125 runs to win with nine wickets remaining. In the last session of the third day, Hull bowled three overs and conceded 23 runs. After giving up 94 runs in just 15 overs, England will need to put more pressure on the visitors on Day 4.
