Steve Smith, an experienced hitter from Australia, recently spoke up on his future in international cricket. Over the years, the 34-year-old has accumulated many runs for Australia in a variety of disciplines. Smith has totaled 15,755 runs in 322 games across all formats while representing Australia.

Nonetheless, a lot of people have been talking about the 34-year-old experienced batter’s future in international cricket. He expressed his opinion that he doesn’t set a retirement date, instead choosing to take things day by day.

Steve Smith went on to remark that he likes to have fun in the now and dislikes gazing too far ahead. In addition, Smith said that he doesn’t much enjoy thinking about his future.

I just find it difficult to see too far ahead. I simply enjoy the situation and take things one series at a time, game by game. All of it will be resolved, and I really shouldn’t worry about legacy or how it manifests itself. That doesn’t really bother me. That’s the type of thing that other people can discuss. Steve Smith told Fox Sports, “I just go about my business day by day and just enjoy it.”

In addition, Steve Smith discussed his constant efforts to assist children wherever possible. He said that the team’s young hitters may always come to him. Additionally, he expressed the opinion that supporting the captain and carrying out his duties as vice captain are equally significant.

“I prefer to go about my business, and I want to try to help any young players who are coming up, especially if I can.” If any of the young folks want to chat and discuss anything, my door is always open. I suppose I’m there to impart knowledge to them by sharing my experiences. and then provide the captain further help. As vice captain, it’s my responsibility to assist him in any way I can. It’s been enjoyable. I’m having fun with it,” Smith said.
