Contrary to common belief, former England bowler Steve Harmison came up to claim that England played excellent cricket during their series trip of India and that India had not killed bazball.
With their current series against the West Indies, Ben Stokes‘ England marked their return to the longest format. England’s last Test series occurred during their trip of India. After the team lost the five-game series 1-4, many thought that England’s bazball strategy had finally been exposed.
In addition, Harmison said that although though England’s performance against India in the Test series was disappointing, Bazball has been contributing to the squad and that the new England Test system is far superior to the previous one.
“I thought England’s cricket in India was fantastic. They caused serious headaches for India. However, there comes a point when you realise, “Oh no, they’ve done it again.” How often do you witness a wickets crash? The issue is that you have to read a room. In an ideal world, everything is impossible to have. The red ball players’ current style of play is significantly superior to that of the previous administration, Harmison said in an interview with talkSPORT cricket.
“India didn’t kill Bazball, in my opinion. In my opinion, India performed better when playing cricket at home. Under duress, they made more intelligent choices. However, I believe that England gave India a serious problem during those five Test matches. And hardly many teams in India have accomplished that,” he continued.
England and the West Indies are currently playing a Test series. The Lord’s Cricket Ground is the venue for the opening Test of the series. England was excellent when they bowled first and were equally impressive when they played with the ball.

England, poised for victory in the opening Test, will be looking to win at the Lord’s Cricket Ground to successfully resume play in the longest format.
