The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will host Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their final league match. Travis Head, one of the team’s top hitters, missed the most recent game due to COVID, which is one of the recent problems the team has been dealing with.
Head’s chances of playing in the forthcoming match at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium are still up in the air. The two-time ICC title winner has completed all the procedures and is well enough to be selected for the game on Friday, May 23, according to SRH bowling coach James Franklin, who has finally provided a favourable fitness update on the daring Australian left-handed opening batsman.
To the best of my knowledge, he has completed all the COVID procedures. At the news conference before the game, Franklin stated, “So, yes, he’s fit and ready for selection for tomorrow’s game.”
The final SRH and RCB
Although they played in some amazing, high-scoring games last season, this may be the Orange Army’s first encounter with the Bengaluru team this season. In the opening match of 2024, the Hyderabad team smashed 287-3 in the first innings, setting a new IPL record. Despite their best efforts, RCB was unable to reach the winning total by 25 runs. Travis Head was declared the player of the match after scoring an incredible century during the encounter.
In the rematch, the RCB exacted their revenge by scoring a score of 206-7. By ultimately limiting the Sunrisers to 171-8, the Bengaluru bowlers performed a fantastic job and won the match by 35 runs. Karn Sharma was the standout bowler with statistics of 2/29 in his four overs, and Rajat Patidar was named player of the match for his rapid 50 off 20 deliveries.
