South Africa announce T20I team for Pakistan home series, Heinrich Klaasen to lead

For the forthcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan, which is set for December 10–14, South Africa has revealed a redesigned squad. Heinrich Klaasen will assume captaincy duties while regular captain Aiden Markram and a number of important players are involved in the current Test series against Sri Lanka.

Due to their Test commitments, Markram, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, and Tristan Stubbs will not be playing in the series. Other seasoned and returning players have been able to take their place. Since the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in June, Anrich Nortje and Tabraiz Shamsi will be playing in their maiden Twenty20 International matches.
