"There is no justification; bravery cannot be taught." - Sikandar Raza responds to his devastating loss against Sri Lanka

The team captained by Sikandar Raza pulled off an incredible comeback to win the second game of the series by four wickets. Despite putting up a fantastic display, Dushmantha Chameera’s double helped the hosts win the inaugural Twenty20 International against Zimbabwe.  But the visitors showed little character in the third and final game of the series, losing to Colombo by being bowled out for 82 runs.

He stated that the players aren’t training as much as they ought to, which makes him think that every cricketer needs to give it their all during practise sessions. The seamen have performed admirably in the series, he continued, but he still expected more from everyone going forward.

The players’ lack of bravery in the midfield was one of the captain Sikandar Raza many complaints on the defeat.

“There is no justification for 52 after 6 and then 82 all-out. Courage cannot be taught. Either extremely well or extremely poorly we have done. confronted with extremes. We’ve been extremely impoverished when we’ve acted badly. In the middle of that, we were still able to keep the crowd entertained. I place a lot of importance on our training methods. A large portion of the work is completed in private. Professional training isn’t being done as often as it ought to be. Williams, Ervine, and I had to bowl the most overs tonight, but we didn’t. To our seamen, well done. Throughout the whole tour, they bowled incredibly well, according to a Cricbuzz remark from Sikandar Raza.

Regarding top-order batting and fielding, I have certain reservations: Wanindu Hasaranga

In the second innings, Sri Lanka had no issues at all as they easily chased 83 runs. The Lankan Lions won the match by nine wickets thanks to a strong start from Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis, as well as a performance of their own from Dhananjaya de Silva. The captain of Sri Lanka is a little worried about fielding and top-order batting in the meantime, even with the series victory.

“We performed incredibly well. We were discussing batting and fielding. The fielders and bowlers performed admirably. When we noticed dew approaching in the second game, we made the decision to pursue. Following the game,Wanindu Hasaran stated, “As captain, I am a little concerned about fielding and top-order batting.”
