Wellington Masakadza, a spinner from Zimbabwe, is certain that he would perform well in the current five-match T20I series against India. The first T20I of the series saw the hosts upset the Men in Blue by 13 runs, which instilled a great deal of confidence in them. Masakadza discussed the significance of the series and expressed his eagerness to dismiss Shubman Gill and other right-hand batsmen like Riyan Parag prior to the second match on July 8.
Wellington Masakadza declared that they hope to take advantage of the favourable conditions to put pressure on India’s reserve team. The 30-year-old stated that despite India’s decision to give its veteran players a break, they still possess exceptional talent to resume their winning ways. He did, however, note that Zimbabwe had certain preparations in place and would be eager to use them well in order to win the series at home.
“We are making every effort to leverage our own circumstances against this Indian side. Despite being a second-string Indian team, they have a lot of talented players. We are excited about this series as a result. We’ve prepared a few plans. Masakadza was cited in Hindustan Times as saying, “We needed them to work and obviously we are trying to use our own conditions as much as we can against this Indian side.”
“I aim to knock out Shubman Gill‘s crucial wicket along with a few other players in the side, including Parag and other right-handers. It’s going to be an excellent task. They spin quite well indeed. We shall cherish this series always. It will have a significant impact on our future if we are able to win the series,” he continued.

Masakadza wants to do well in the series and secure a position with a cricket team. Masakadza intends to do the same for Sikandar Raza, who was successful the previous time India visited Zimbabwe and signed a deal with Punjab Kings.

Undoubtedly, participating in those leagues is always a smart idea. During this series, I hope to pick up a few wickets. That might help me land a job,” Masakadza continued.
