According to reports, star cricketer Shreyas Iyer is recovering and may be released from the Sydney hospital early following surgery on his spleen, which was lacerated. Shreyas Iyer sustained an injury during the third ODI between Australia and India at the Sydney Cricket Ground while fielding at the backward point region. He was admitted to the hospital for additional care and was detained in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The vice captain of India is reportedly in a good mood and chatting politely with the medical personnel at Sydney’s St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, if media reports are to be believed. Even though he might be released from the hospital earlier than anticipated, it could take him up to eight weeks to fully recover before he is prepared to don the India jersey once more.
“He’s already joking with the nurses, smiling, and talking,” according to a media report that NDTV Sports cited.

I communicate frequently with Dr. Rizwan (Khan, an Indian team physician who remained with Shreyas Iyer to help with his medical care at the hospital in Sydney). He should normally take six to eight weeks to fully recuperate, but you can anticipate a surprise from him as he might get better much sooner, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated, as reported by The Times of India.

The three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) between India and South Africa are set to begin in Rajkot on November 30. Indore and Vadodara will host the following two matches.
