Shreyanka, Bharti return to T20 squad

The India Women’s team for the forthcoming Tour of Australia has been revealed by the BCCI amid an exciting Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026. Ahead of the next tour, Bharti Fulmali and Shreyanka Patil have returned to the Indian women’s T20I squad. As the Indians get preparing for the white-ball tour in Australia, the two join a formidable team under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur.

In contrast, Fulmali makes his T20I comeback for the first time since 2019 following a successful campaign in the WPL 2026. This season, the middle-order hitter has made significant appearances, making rapid contributions that ultimately led to a recall. With a strike rate of 191.66 and 92 runs in four innings, she is having an incredible season as a batswoman for the Gujarat Giants. In the previous year’s tournament, Fulmali also had an outstanding season, scoring 133 runs with a strike rate of 172.72 in four innings.

Offspinner Shreyanka, who currently plays for RCB, is also making a comeback after missing a lot of action in 2025 due to a protracted injury layoff.

The 23-year-old earned a berth in the T20I team for the Australia challenge after showcasing decisive performances in the WPL 2026, including a five-wicket haul. The 2024 T20 World Cup was her most recent appearance for the Women in Blue.

Both limited-overs teams have been marginally modified by the selectors from the group that played Sri Lanka in December. Kashvee Gautam has joined the 50-over team, and Vaishnavi Sharma has received his first ODI call-ups after impressing everyone with a strong performance against SL and adolescent wicketkeeper G Kamalini. On the other hand, the seasoned Radha Yadav is completely left out of the T20I team, and Harleen Deol has been left out.

T20I team for India’s women’s trip to Australia in 2026:  Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh (wk), G Kamalini (wk), Kranti Gaud, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, Arundhati Reddy, , Renuka Thakur, Sree Charani, Vaishnavi Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Bharti Fulmali, Shreyanka Patil

ODI team:  Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh (wk), G Kamalini (wk), Vaishnavi Sharma, Kranti Gaud, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, Kashvee Gautam, Renuka Thakur, Sree Charani, Amanjot Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol
