Shree Charani, the World Cup winner for India, will get a special award from the Andhra Pradesh government. To welcome Shree Charani , supporters, state politicians, and representatives from the Andhra Cricket Association assembled at the Vijayawada International Airport.
She will receive a Group-I government position, a 1,000-square-yard home site in her hometown of Kadapa, and an INR 2.5 crore cash reward from the state, which is governed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Shree Charani, 21, arrived from New Delhi after the Indian team met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Naidu met with him before making the announcement.

At the just finished mega event, Naidu thanked Shree Charani on his appearances.
A ceremony was held to congratulate the left-arm spinner. The young player talked about the experience of playing in such a high-stress competition and what it was like to be a part of India’s first 50-over World Cup victory, according to India Today.
On the subject of Shree Charani early years, she was raised in the Andhra Pradesh town of Kadapa amid economic hardship. Her talent and perseverance were key components in helping her advance through the ranks of local and state teams. Earlier in 2025, she played both white-ball and international cricket for India.
At an economy rate and average of 4.96 and 27.64, respectively, Charani claimed 14 wickets in nine Women’s World Cup matches. In the league phase, she bowled her best figures of 3/41 in 10 overs, including a maiden over, against Australia at her home stadium in Visakhapatnam.
In the fourth installment of the Women’s Premier League, she is expected to play before representing India in the multi-format series against Australia the following year. Before the huge auction, Charani was released by the Delhi Capitals.
