Yuzvendra Chahal’s ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma, has been blaming the famous leg-spinner on the OTT reality show “Rise and Fall” nearly every other day. Following a joint petition for mutual consent, the Bandra family court in Mumbai awarded them a divorce on March 20, 2025. Although they were married in December 2020, the couple had been living apart since June 2022.
“Papa, are you married?” Chahal asks, looking astonished. Sophie Shine, Shikhar Dhawan girlfriend, joins the conflict. According to the former India opener, “This is your third mother.” Then, with his hands on his head in shock, Shikhar Dhawan delivers Chahal a bite to eat. Dhawan announced his retirement from domestic and international cricket on August 24, 2024. He has since participated in Legends leagues all across the world. He was one of the first Indian athletes to actively boycott playing against Pakistan at the World Championship of Legends in England this past year.
Chahal is attempting to get back into the Indian team in the meanwhile. The IPL’s all-time leading wicket-taker hasn’t participated in international matches since August 2023. Chahal has taken 121 wickets in 72 One-Day Internationals and 96 in 80 Twenty20 Internationals for India.
Chahal was a member of the Punjab Kings lineup last year. In 14 games, the 35-year-old took 16 wickets at an average of 26.88. Chahal will try to establish himself in domestic cricket this season in order to be called up to the Indian squad.
