With a moving and heartfelt clip on Instagram, former India opener Shikhar Dhawan formally announced the publication of his first autobiography, “The One.” Indian cricket fans have responded well to the reel and are keen to learn more about the life of one of the nation’s most determined opening batsmen.
The 2013 Champions Trophy Player of the Tournament made the announcement in a heartfelt statement.
“Not all victories are featured in the highlights. Not all defeats are displayed on the scoreboard. The tale of all the in-betweens is told in “The One.” Of always showing up, always learning, always unlearning. “This one comes straight from the heart,” Shikhar Dhawan wrote.

Shikhar Dhawan added that pre-orders are being accepted for his first autobiography.
With a folded-hands emoji, the iconic batter concluded the comment, wishing his followers luck and blessings on his new endeavour.
In an ODI match against Australia in Visakhapatnam in October 2010, Dhawan T made his debut for his country. When Clint McKay fired him for a two-ball duck, he was unable to open his account. However, he had a remarkable Test debut in 2013 when he hammered 187 runs off just 174 balls in his opening innings against Australia in Mohali.
At ICC events, Shikhar Dhawan gave some of his best performances. Under MS Dhoni’s guidance, he was instrumental in India’s victory in the 2013 Champions Trophy. He struck six hundreds and amassed 1238 runs at an average of 65.15 in ICC ODI competitions.
In August 2024, Shikhar Dhawan ended his career. In 34 Test matches, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is, he played for India. In the three forms, the southpaw scored 1759, 6793, and 2315 runs, respectively.
He experienced difficulties in his personal life while working abroad. From 2012 to 2021, he was wed to Ayesha Mukherjee. Due of Ayesha’s mental harshness against Dhawan, a divorce was granted. Permanent custody of their kid, Zoravar, was denied to the famous cricket player. He openly expressed his sadness at not being able to spend much time with his son.
