Nevertheless, the current generation of Pakistani cricketers is not behind. Shaheen Afridi is one of the top pace bowlers in international cricket. Additionally, the team’s youth is a formidable force. Specifically, Naseem Shah, age 20, has been turning many heads with his performances. Twenty-year-old Shah has appeared in 42 matches across all formats for Pakistan, claiming 80 wickets. Former Pakistan bowling coach Shaun Tait came forward to lavish praise on the youth, citing his latent talent.
“I thought Naseem Shah was absolutely outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. The Daily Star quoted Tait as saying, “I believe that at his current age, in his early 20s, he is probably the best fast bowler I have ever seen at that age. This is a bold statement, but it is the truth.”
