PAK vs ENG 2024: Shan Masood becomes 17th Pakistan captain to score Test century

After the squad lost the Test series against Bangladesh 0–2 at home, Masood was not given much credit as captain. Meanwhile, doubts were raised about his batting prowess. Masood followed Babar Azam, one of the most sought-after batters in Pakistan. Hanif Mohammad and the former captain of Pakistan are tied for fourth place with the same number of tons as captain.
