Shakib Al Hasan thought his team was doing well in the T20 format but acknowledged they needed to be more flexible going forward.
The 36-year-old all-rounder also said that a number seven batsman should do the same duties as openers, adding that if everyone can bat wherever, it will be simpler to adapt when presented with challenging conditions. The captain claims that regardless of the circumstances, the bowlers’ performance remains the same.
Afif Hossain, Bangladesh’s seventh batter, was moved up the order in the second game, which was played in the rain. Afif (24) did a commendable job, scoring 67 runs in the first partnership with Litton Das (35), which enabled Bangladesh to defeat one of the strongest bowling attacks in the limited overs format.
“The team benefits when there is flexibility. In T20 cricket, a number seven may be required to perform the same duties as openers. Depending on how long the openers bat (15 overs), he might also have to bowl the following five over.
