But former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi wants the team to play at the spot to show how good they are.
The chair of the PCB, Najam Sethi, recently said that the team will only go to India for the ICC big event if the Pakistani government says they can. Pakistan’s refusal to play at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which is reported to be the site of the big match between India and Pakistan, has slowed down BCCI’s work on the World Cup schedule.
Even though the board didn’t want to, Shahid Afridi, a former Pakistani captain and one of the most famous cricketers in the country, pushed the team to play in Ahmedabad. He didn’t understand why Pakistan didn’t want to play there.
“Why won’t they play on the fields in Ahmedabad? Does it throw fire or have ghosts? Go play, and go play to win. “If these are the problems that were expected, then the only way to solve them is to win the whole thing,” Shahid Afridi said on Samaa TV.

The former cricket player went on to say that the only thing that should matter is that the team wins. He said that if the Men in Green win in the Lion’s Den, it will show India how tough Pakistan is and send a strong message to the other teams in the tournament.
“At the end of the day, what counts is that the Pakistan team wins. The key is always and only there. Take this in a good way. If India is happy there, you should go and win in front of a big crowd to show them what you’re made of,” he said.
