In the seventh match of the ongoing Champions Cup one-day tournament, former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed made a light-hearted jab at current white-ball captain Babar Azam. The incident happened during a Dolphins vs. Stallions game at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, and it has gone viral. Babar has received a lot of recognition for his traditional style of batting in One Day Internationals (ODIs). His hit rate has been questioned recently, though.
“Theek hai, theek hai,” Sarfaraz could be heard screaming to his teammates in the video. Well, well, well, well, well, well. In the logo, Babar Babar karte rahe. I am Babar’s fan, but I don’t care about it. Shabashing. Haha, baaki saare jayenge. Gentlemen, get moving.” (There’s no rush; it’s alright. Let the throng continue chanting “Babar, Babar.” He will be forced to play 40 overs. The others will depart.)

Babar Azam smashed an unbeaten century
The right-hand batter’s strike rate of 88 has caused controversy despite his stellar 50-over statistics, which include 5729 runs at an average of 88.75. His strike rate of 129 is regarded as below average for the fast-paced T20 Internationals.

In the meantime, the star batsman did not let his supporters down, responding to every query with an outstanding century that remained unbeaten. With seven boundaries and three sixes, he blasted a century-plus score in just 100 balls. The Stallions used his innings to help them reach 271/7 after their 50 overs.
