Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of Sachin Tendulkar, has been officially recognised as the owner of the Mumbai team for the second season of the Global e-Cricket Premier League. JetSynthesys, a gaming company specialising in digital entertainment and technology, acknowledged the development.
The GEPL is thought to be the biggest e-cricket and entertainment league in the world. It is played on the well-known mobile cricket simulation game Real Cricket. RC has been downloaded 300 million times in its history. In contrast to its first edition, which had 200,000 participants, the leage has now reached 910,000. In cricket e-sports, the GEPL has made a name for itself as a trailblazer. Over 70 million people have viewed the content on JioCinema and Sports18, and it has been watched for more than 2.4 million minutes.
Ahead of the much awaited season, Sara Tendulkar , a qualified dietitian and biomedical scientist, said she is thrilled to be a key member of the franchise. She appears willing to work with others as well.
