The 2008 winners were thought to be one of the favorites to win this year, but their path to the playoffs got tangled up, and now their chances rely on how other teams do in the league.

Sanju Samson said that when Shimron Hetmyer was batting in the middle, he expected the West Indies star to get the job done, but that didn’t happen either. The 28-year-old also talked quickly after the game about Trent Boult’s ability to get a wicket in the first over of an innings.
“I think at the end of the game, when Shimron Hetmyer was playing well, we thought we’d win by 18.5″ We think that Boult will take a wicket in the first over almost 90% of the time. In the last few games, we were under a lot of pressure,” Samson said.
