‘Loving this from New India!’- Sanjay Manjrekar lauds India’s approach after 1st T20I win vs England

Against England in the first T20I of the current white-ball series, the Indian side put on an outstanding display. In relation to the match, England started the batting and amassed 132 runs in the opening innings. Having hit 68 runs in 44 deliveries, Jos Buttler was England’s top scorer.

India started off brilliantly with the goal of chasing down the target. Abhishek Sharma scored 79 runs in 34 deliveries, and India won the match by seven wickets after hitting the target in 12.5 overs.

When analyzing India’s strategy in the opening Twenty20 International, former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar grabbed center stage and praised the new strategy.

“This is fantastic from New India! Don’t be afraid, cricket. No interest in the individual 50s, etc. A selfless cricketer is always a threat in Twenty20 cricket. Manjrekar posted on Twitter, “#INDvENGonJioStar.”

I wanted to say: Abhishek Sharma

One of the standout players from the inaugural Twenty20 International was Abhishek Sharma. India quickly reached the objective thanks to Sharma’s knock, who had a great opening innings effort.

“I wanted to say thank you to the captain and coach for giving us such a great deal of freedom when we were young. Although it was double-paced and sticking a little, our bowlers bowled well, and we were expected to chase 160–170. During the post-match presentation ceremony, Abhishek Sharma stated, “Sanju and I talk as partners, and I enjoy at the other end.”

“My strategy when I originally joined the India squad was straightforward: play as I did in the IPL. However, I have never seen a setting like this before. Feel free to express yourself and make your shots, even from the very first ball. I knew they would bowl short and test my patience, so I rehearsed my trigger motions before the game,” he continued.
