Samson told to adapt amid Australia tour

The unluckiest is Sanju Samson. As opener, he scored hundreds. Kris Srikkanth said they now send him everywhere from 3 to 8.

Samson told to adapt amid Australia tour

Sanju Samson, who has batted in a variety of positions after giving up his opener’s spot in India’s T20 team following Shubman Gill’s comeback to the team and subsequent selection as vice-captain ahead of last month’s Asia Cup, was sympathetically viewed by former India opener Kris Srikkanth.

The former head selector believes Samson’s confidence has been damaged by the uncertainty surrounding his batting position. The Kerala star batted at No. 3, No. 5, and No. 8 at the Asia Cup.

Sanju Samson is the most unlucky person. As an opener, he was scoring hundreds of runs.

However, they now send him around between three and eight,” Srikkanth remarked. They might also send him at eleven if they have the chance. Therefore, after performing so well at the top, someone like Sanju will undoubtedly feel horrible. However, he is forced to remain silent and bat wherever the team requests it,” Srikkanth stated in a video posted to his YouTube page.

However, Srikkanth voiced his relief, believing that Samson’s strong performances at No. 5 have at least solidified his place in the playing XI. Samson is a sure pick to be the wicketkeeper for the Indian team at the T20 World Cup next year, according to the cricketer-turned-expert.

“He performed well at No. 5 in the Asia Cup, which is the only positive thing. Sanju’s automatic selection as the first wicketkeeper for the T20 World Cup is encouraging for him. He is certain to bat at number five,” he said, implying that Samson is still a crucial component of India’s strategy in spite of the trials.

Samson is currently playing Mitchell Marsh and company in a five-match Twenty20 International series in Australia. On Wednesday, October 29, he played for the Indian squad in the opening Twenty20 International at Canberra’s Manuka Oval. Unfortunately, rain played spoilsport and he was unable to bat.
