This season, Rashid Khan has struggled with the ball and hasn’t looked as dangerous as he has in previous years. With 12 wickets, finger-spinner Sai Kishore has taken up the spin department in his absence and has performed admirably for Gujarat Titans (GT), who are tied for second place in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 in terms of wicket-taking.
However, Rashid’s final score of 2/25 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was his best to date this season.
Sai Kishore said the squad never questioned Rashid’s skills, even if he didn’t do well in the event.
It’s wonderful to have him back. We never questioned him or his talents as a team. He is the world’s top T20 bowler. Although I’m not entirely sure of the numbers, I think he’s right up there in terms of taking the most wickets in the format. After GT defeated KKR by 39 runs in Kolkata, Sai Kishore stated at the news conference that followed the game, “It’s just good to have him back.”
With 12 points from six games, GT further solidified their top spot with their victory. On Monday, April 28, they will play the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur.
