Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore has joined Surrey for a few First-Class matches at the end of July. After demonstrating his abilities in the Indian domestic setup over the last several years, this will be the first time the all-rounder from India participates in the County Championship. In Division One of the 2025 County Championship, the two games will be against Durham and Yorkshire.
The left-arm spinner, who has played in the Indian Premier League for sides like the Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, was excited to join Surrey’s system and play for the reigning champions. Notably, the Tamil Nadu native just guided the IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans to their first-ever Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025 championship.
“I’m thrilled to be playing for Surrey in the upcoming County Championship games. According to ESPNcricinfo, Kishore said, “I have heard great things about the setup from a lot of different people in the game, and Surrey are one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.”
Alec Stewart, Surrey’s high-performance advisor and a former English cricket player, was thrilled to have Kishore’s leadership skills and bowling knowledge in the system.
“I’m thrilled to have Sai Kishore, who is highly regarded, join our team for the upcoming Kookaburra games. I’ve heard nothing but positive things about him from people I respect in the Indian game. He provides leadership experience to the team and has an excellent four-day record for Tamil Nadu,” he said.

Sai Kishore has very impressive red-ball stats. In 46 First-Class matches, he has taken 192 wickets at an average and economy rate of 2.76 and 23.51, respectively. He will be playing County Cricket for the first time. English conditions are nothing new to the seasoned all-rounder. In 2022, he played as a reserve for the Indian team that was visiting.
Since March, he has become fully involved in T20 cricket. Following a successful run as captain in the 2025 Indian Premier League, Kishore was the second-highest wicket-taker among spinners.
Kishore may be able to re-enter the negotiations to be reinstated in the red-ball team in the future because to his time with Surrey. Kishore’s case might be strengthened with strong performances in the two games. He has only made three appearances for India thus far. During the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, all three of them participated in T20Is.
