India defeated South Africa to win the 2024 T20 World Cup and snap an 11-year trophy drought. The match concluded in an exciting fashion. Cricket greats Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma declared their retirement from T20I play, which added to the specialness of the win. The legendary Sachin Tendulkar paid tribute to their remarkable achievements on social media.

Virat Kohli was recognised by Sachin as a real cricket champion. He stated that, in spite of his previous difficulties in the competition, Kohli demonstrated his excellence in the decisive match.
