Around the middle of the week, Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar posted a comical captioned picture that captured the attention of viewers and created a significant amount of engagement on social media.
Sachin looked stunning in the photo that he shared on his official X account, radiating a charisma that seemed revitalised.
His left-side profile was caught in the picture as he leaned elegantly over a riverbank to feed a duck. With a magnificent peak and beautifully layered meadows in the background, the scene was gorgeous.

The image he chose to share went well with the description, which was really informative. The odd history behind this actually stems from something he said to a group of people at an event earlier this year.
There was a funny story he told about how, when he was younger, he used to bring all his pals from the famous Sahitya Sahawas housing community in Bandra, Mumbai, to come watch him play gully cricket. He got ejected for a duck in both games, so he decided it would be rude to make his pals endure such lacklustre efforts. As a result, he decided not to invite them to any more games. After managing to score just one run in his next encounter, Tendulkar learnt a very important lesson.
I came to understand the significance of a single run because, as time went on, everyone would always tell us that one run might make the difference between winning and losing. However, the change was quite significant. I scored one run and went home after the first two matches ended in zeros; that one run lifted my spirits, Tendulkar said at a function earlier this year.
It is noteworthy that in Test cricket, the Master Blaster has been removed for a duck 14 times; Pedro Collins, Makhaya Ntini, and Glenn McGrath have all done it twice. He’s been bowled out for a duck two different times in One-Day Internationals (ODIs), with Courtney Walsh being the only bowler to dispatch him without a run.

That being said, it does not in the slightest lessen the recognition that he enjoys as one of the best hitters in baseball history.
