Capacity crowd at Wanderers as SA20 Final sells out for 3rd straight year

The SA20 Champions will be crowned in front of a full house for the third consecutive year, and tickets for the Final at Wanderers on February 8 have already sold out. The hospitality has also sold out for this season.

Fans from all over the world are grabbing tickets for the SA20 Final in record time every season, making it the highlight of the South African social and athletic calendar. One week before Season 2, Season 3 tickets were sold out.

Along with a fantastic halftime show starring singer-songwriter Booshle G. and his summer hit song “Take me Home,” the “Bullring” is ready to welcome the two top teams of season three. There will also be a plethora of activities for both young and old.

League Commissioner Graeme Smith declared, “We are incredibly happy to have sold out the Final for the third consecutive year.” Nothing compares to a crowded Wanderers stadium; everyone will undoubtedly have an amazing time.

“Watching SA20 grow into a major event on the South African sporting calendar has been satisfying, and we are honored to have such a devoted and enthusiastic following. The four best teams will be vying for a spot at the Wanderers on February 8th, so I would advise supporters to buy their playoff tickets now that the Final tickets are sold out,” Smith said.

With all six clubs still vying for a spot in the top four, the playoff battle has been exciting. The Joburg Super Kings, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, or MI Cape Town could all end up in first place after this weekend’s games, but Paarl Royals are presently leading the table after a great start to the season.

The playoffs provide a final chance for spectators to enjoy a fun day out while seeing the best local and foreign players compete, and tickets are still available and selling quickly. These three playoff games will also provide kids the opportunity to play on the field before the game and meet their favorites.

Qualifier 1 is a top-of-the-table matchup that will go directly to the final on Tuesday, February 4 at St George’s Park in Gqeberha.

Teams finishing in third and fourth place will compete in a “do or die match” in The Eliminator at Centurion on Wednesday, February 5; the losing team from Qualifier 1 and the winner of The Eliminator will compete in Qualifier 2 at Centurion on Thursday, February 6. Fans will have an additional live performance to accompany the cricket match at Qualifier 2 on Thursday, featuring the well-known Kurt Darren and the artist of the current hit song “Hop Hop Spinnekop.”

The winner of Qualifier 2 will play in the Final at Wanderers on Saturday, February 8th, alongside the winner of Qualifier 1. League Commissioner Graeme Smith declared, “We are incredibly happy to have sold out the Final for the third consecutive year.” Nothing compares to a crowded Wanderers stadium; everyone will undoubtedly have an amazing time.
