Ruturaj Gaikwad is likely to lead India A on Australia tour

Emerging players have a fantastic opportunity to showcase their abilities and possibly earn berths in the senior Test squad during the tour, which is scheduled to start in late October.

The India A team’s next tour of Australia is probably going to be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad.

India’s 15-member Two players competing for the role of reserve opener in the Test team are Abhimanyu Easwaran and Sai Sudharsan. Given that captain Rohit Sharma is anticipated to miss the opening Border-Gavaskar Trophy match, the decision is crucial.

Ricky Bhui, Baba Indrajith, and Devdutt Padikkal are in the middle-order lineup, and Abishek Porel and Ishan Kishan will split wicketkeeping responsibilities. Manav Suthar, Tanush Kotian, and Nitish Kumar Reddy are also members of the team. Yash Dayal, Khaleel Ahmed, Navdeep Saini, and Mukesh Kumar make up the pace attack.

A few of the team’s players have been playing well in domestic cricket. Easwaran, who was formerly a member of the Indian Test team. His recent performance in the Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy, and Duleep Trophy has been outstanding. The selectors have also taken notice of Sudharsan’s efforts for Surrey and in domestic competitions.

Two four-day matches versus Australia A are part of the tour calendar; they are scheduled for Mackay (October 31–November 3) and Melbourne (November 7–10).

The last preparation before the Test series begins on November 22 will be a warm-up match against the senior Indian squad in Perth (November 15–17).
