According to Kris Srikkanth, injured Rohit Sharma would prefer to retire with a World Cup.

Kris Srikkanth, a former India international, believes that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will play in the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to start on June 1. Significantly, neither player has played in the shorter format since the 2022 T20 World Cup semifinal; yet, they have been called up for the upcoming three-match series against Afghanistan. There was a lot of misunderstanding about their involvement in the shortest format, though.

According to Srikkanth, if Rohit Sharma declares himself fit for selection, the team management cannot fire him. The 36-year-old, according to him, is hurting from losing to Australia in the ODI World Cup final and would like to play in the T20 World Cup, which will be held in the USA and the West Indies. Srikkanth further mentioned that because of his incredible form, Virat Kohli will undoubtedly play in the competition.
