Rohit Sharma talks about pacers' workload management before of the marathon Test season

Over the next five months, India will play eleven Test matches and one practice red-ball match. In light of this, India skipper Rohit Sharma stated that the bowlers’ ability to regulate their workload will be crucial. He acknowledged that the pacers might not be available for every game and pointed out that the team management has already outlined a strategy that would be used in the three Test series against New Zealand, the five against Australia, and the two against Bangladesh.

The captain of India added that the squad won’t have any problems if the bowlers are rested. He emphasized that it was possible to reaffirm the fact that Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah each received a one-Test respite during the series against England. The 37-year-old continued by saying that the team management saw some excellent players waiting in the wings during the Duleep Trophy, so he isn’t concerned about providing primary pacers with respite during the grueling 10-match Test series.

“We will always have the pacers’ workload management in the back of our minds. Because there is so much cricket played, you would like your finest players to participate in every match. However, this is not feasible. We have some plans in place for how we will handle these bowlers, but ultimately it will depend on how much of a burden they are carrying into these matches. At the news conference, Rohit stated, “We will keep an eye on that.

“We performed fairly well against England in the previous Test series.” We were able to give Siraj one Test match off and rest Bumrah. Everything is dependent on how their body feels at that certain moment. There are a lot of bowlers present. There were some promising promises when we watched the Duleep Trophy. Regarding the type of bowlers who are holding out for us, I am not very concerned,” he continued.
