Rohit Sharma spotted at The Oval to witness Day 3 action

On Saturday, July 2, Rohit Sharma, the former captain of India, arrived at The Oval in London to observe the action in the fifth and final Test match between England and India. With the series in the balance at 2-1 in favour of the home team, Day 3 looks to be captivating as well as the first two days proved to be fascinating.

It was anticipated that Rohit Sharma would captain the team in the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

In the 2024–25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he captained India in their most recent Test match against Australia. But for a while now, he had been having trouble scoring runs in the longest format.

He surprised the cricket community by declaring his retirement from the red-ball format in the middle of the Indian Premier League (IPL). On May 7, he announced his choice on his official social media account.

It was wonderful to meet him again, although as a fan, at a cricket ground on Saturday. On the internet, a video of him walking into the famous stadium has gone viral.

Akash Deep achieves his first half-century in international competition.

As he watched India’s final three wickets fall from the other end, Deep remained undefeated at zero in the first innings. At the end of Day 2, though, he was elevated to No. 4 as a nightwatchman in the second innings. At Stumps, he wasn’t out on four.

He made it apparent what he was going to do in the opening over of Day 3 when he hit Jacob Bethell for a boundary through mid-wicket. The Bengali seamer achieved his first international half-century by combining aggression and restraint. In addition to reaching a personal milestone, his collaboration with Yashasvi Jaiswal has been crucial to India’s efforts to eliminate England from the Test match.
