Rohit Sharma shares his stump-mic pearls, saying, "I don't have any favourite line"

India and England will face off in the fifth and final Test match of the series at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday, March 7. The Rohit Sharma-led team now has a 3-1 lead in the series and will be looking to finish strong to maintain their lead in the standings.

In addition to a few outstanding innings from Indian hitters, skipper Rohit Sharma’s clever remarks have been a running theme in the series. The 36-year-old’s on-field antics have frequently left the supporters in splits. The India captain recently discussed his widely shared “one-liners” and said he doesn’t do them on purpose.

“You know, I don’t even do it on purpose, so I don’t really have a favorite line. Since I am now the captain, I take advantage of the angle in the slips to better observe the fielders and assess DRS. I thus continue to speak with the field players, and it gets captured on camera “said at a Bilaspur event.

The Indian captain has been outstanding not just with his stump-mic jewels but also with his bowling variations and tactics, which have helped India rally from a 0-1 deficit after losing the first game of the series in Hyderabad by 28 runs. At the bat, the series’ fifth-highest run scorer with 297 runs from eight innings at an average of 37.12 and a career total of 150 runs is the opening batter.

A stunning 112 was struck in Rajkot by Rohit Sharma.

He saved India from a dire situation in the first innings when they were 33/3 thanks to a brilliant 112 against Pakistan in the third Test at Rajkot. In addition, the right-handed batsman made a critical 55 in the fourth inning of the fourth Test in Ranchi, which gave his team a strong start as they attempted to chase 192 runs. He also combined 84 runs for the first wicket with Yashasvi Jaiswal.

India established an unbeatable 3-1 lead in the series and won the match by five wickets thanks to his outstanding start. The skipper of India will be looking to provide yet another outstanding performance at the bat in the final Test match in order to hand England a crushing 4-1 loss.
