'Gully cricket khel raha hai kya'- Rohit Sharma scolds Yashasvi Jaiswal on day 1 of 4th BGT

Indian captain Rohit Sharma was overheard telling kid Yashasvi Jaiswal how to field at silly point position during the current fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Ravindra Jadeja attempted a defensive shot that went to Jaiswal at a stupid moment during Australia’s innings while bowling to Steve Smith. Rather than lining up to stop the ball, Jaiswal leaped to avoid it.

The young player was advised by Rohit Sharma to wait until the ball was played, and this instruction was recorded on the stump microphone.

“Ay Jaisu, khel raha hai kya kya gilli cricket khel. It’s a niche. If the ball is khelega, then uthne ka nahi. “Niche ke reh,” Rohit murmured.

Australia, meanwhile, decided to bat first and took advantage of the circumstances with their top order. With an aggressive knock of 60 from 65 balls, debutant Sam Konstas gave the hosts a head start. By Day 1’s third session, Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne had contributed significant half-centuries.

The Indian bowlers, meanwhile, rallied in the game after the hosts had a strong start. Jasprit Bumrah, India’s top pacer, has already claimed three wickets, including those of Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, and Usman Khawaja. The right-armer is attempting to use the bowl to work magic once more. With over an hour of play remaining in the day, the visitors will try to limit the Australians below 350 and take as many wickets as they can.
