Ex-Indian Star Makes Huge Comment About Rohit Sharma, Saying He "Made Only One Mistake..."

After defeating New Zealand by eight wickets in Raipur on Sunday, India grabbed a commanding 2-0 lead in the series, making it impossible for New Zealand to catch up. The New Zealanders were given the opportunity to bat, however they were bowled out for a meagre score of 108 runs. In India’s reply, India’s captain Rohit Sharma made quick work of the low goal by striking a controlled half-century. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill remained undefeated on 40 runs as the team crossed the finish line.

Irfan Pathan, a former all-rounder for India, heaped praise on Rohit after the game was over, saying that the low total gave him the opportunity to play without restriction.

Irfan said that Rohit performed well to bat on track which may have been hard when pursuing under the lights. He also pointed out the single mistake that the 35-year-old batsman made during the match.

“When the ball hit his pads, there was an appeal for a leg before wicket, and while they wanted to use the DRS, they didn’t take it. That was the one error he made.

Aside from that, he appeared to have the situation under total control, and we witnessed some incredible shots, both on the up and on the offside and on the leg side. I can’t stress enough that you shouldn’t be too concerned about Rohit Sharma’s performance in any way, shape, or form.

While chasing against New Zealand, he scored his first half-century, and it came at the perfect time.

The ball was moving around quite a bit under the lights, making it difficult for the batter to get a good swing going. Nevertheless, there was no pressure from the scoreboard, and he reached the milestone, “Pathan disclosed this information while participating in the post-match programme.

Henry Shipley made the decision to fire Rohit on level 51 (50).

On Tuesday, the third and final one-day international match between India and New Zealand will take place.
