Rohit Sharma answered the issue regarding his unselfish strategy during the 2023 World Cup in a casual manner. While he has received recognition for prioritizing team accomplishments over individual goals, a few former cricket players have noted that longevity may require a little of selfishness. After initially being a little taken aback, Rohit said nonchalantly that his present approach suits him and that it shows how dedicated he is to the team’s success.

Speaking about his hitting strategy, he said,
“The scoreboard is blank when I open. As a result, I have to lead by example as a batsman and think on the game. I therefore have the advantage—or perhaps I should say benefit—that I am opening the batting and that there is no pressure to take wickets because the score is 0-0. When you have to start that way, you can play fearlessly and anyway you choose to play,” he said.
