Rohit Sharma meets former Spanish footballer Iker Casillas at NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024

During the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024 on Friday, October 4, former Spanish custodian and legendary football player Iker Casillas met with team captain Rohit Sharma. Given that both Rohit and his wife Ritika Sajdeh were shown there, it is important to note that they attended the event together.

At the ceremony, Rohit Sharma and Iker Casillas took a photo together. Curiously, a lot of people rank Iker Casillas as one of the best goalkeepers of all time. In addition to his accomplishments with Real Madrid, Casillas was a superb player who contributed to Spain’s victories in the 2008 and 2010 FIFA World Cups.

Conversely, Rohit Sharma appears to be taking a rest.

Since he withdrew from the shortest format following the T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit has taken a sabbatical while the Men in Blue prepare for the T20I series. Rohit most recently assisted India in winning a two-game Test series against Bangladesh.

India’s Twenty20 International series will begin on October 6.

In relation to team India’s assignments, the group just won a two-game Test series against Bangladesh. India easily won the opening match of the series, which took place in Chennai. India won the Test series 2-0 despite rain repeatedly interfering with the second Test, which was held at Kanpur.

Nevertheless, India prevailed in the end to overcome Bangladesh and secure the series. After finishing the longest format, Bangladesh and India will now concentrate on the next games.

This will be the first of three T20Is between the two teams. The series’ matches are scheduled for October 6, 9, and 12 in Gwalior, Delhi, and Hyderabad. India is hoping for a similar performance in the shortest format after winning the Test series.
