Watch: This footage of Rohit Sharma driving a sleek Lamborghini with a VIP number plate goes viral

The Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, was spotted driving in South Mumbai in his eye-catching Lamborghini Urus, which is coloured blue. It was plain to onlookers and pedestrians that Rohit, who is well known for being an enthusiastic driver and car enthusiast, was having some quality time in his vehicle.

It’s interesting to note that his number plate ends in 0264. That number represents his greatest individual score in the 50-over format to date—a remarkable 173-ball knock against Sri Lanka at the venerable Eden Gardens back in 2014. Regarding his cricket itinerary, the top batter is one of an elusive group of players who has had a hectic agenda.

It’s interesting to note that Rohit was spotted wearing the Indian team’s T20I practice jersey, which was created especially for the 20-over World Cup, in which he proved to be a key member of the squad and won his maiden T20 World Cup as captain. Though still a novice in that field, he won the tournament for the first time in 2007.

Players such as Virat and Rohit should not be required to participate in the Duleep Trophy: Jay Shah

A significant announcement regarding Rohit and his close friend Virat Kohli—that they will not be required to compete in the Duleep Trophy—was made in the meanwhile by Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

It is not our place to demand that athletes such as Virat and Rohit participate in the Duleep Trophy. They’ll take a chance on getting hurt. You may have observed that none of the international players in Australia and England participate in domestic cricket. The players must be treated with respect, Shah stated to ANI.
