Following his team’s six-wicket victory over the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2024, which took place at the storied Wankhede Stadium on April 1, Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Riyan Parag recorded a heartfelt moment with his mother. In the current competition, this was RR’s third straight victory. Conversely, MI has lost all three of its games that they have played thus far.
In an attempt to surpass the subpar aim of 126, Parag amassed an undefeated 54 from 39 deliveries, which included three maximums and five boundaries. The 22-year-old has already amassed 181 runs with two fifties at a strike rate of 160. He is tied for the IPL 2024 Orange Cap with Virat Kohli, the star batter for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
On the microblogging site X, RR posted a video of Parag’s mother giving him a hug and then kissing his forehead. The child was then given the orange cap. With the message, “No one loves you like your mom does,” the franchise shared a photo.

Boult, Chahal, and Riyan Parag help RR defeat MI.
The Mumbai Indians, who were allowed to bat first, collapsed at the bat from the opening of the first inning. With the removal of Dewald Brevis, Rohit Sharma, and Naman Dhir for golden ducks, Trent Boult made important strides for RR. For the fifth wicket, MI skipper Hardik Pandya (34) and Tilak Varma (32) scored 56 runs off of 36 balls. But Yuzvendra Chahal took three wickets, while Nadre Burger took two, to restrict the five-time champions to a disappointing 125 runs.

In the second innings, Kwena Maphaka, a teenage South African, made an immediate impression by getting rid of Yashasvi Jaiswal for ten in the opening over. As for his team, Aakash Madhwal made a respectable fist by dismissing captains Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, and R Ashwin. RR managed to pursue the target with 27 balls remaining thanks to Riyan’s half-century.
