Rishabh Pant Set to Return, Looks Fully Fit

In an official social media video, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant sent a strong message on his journey to physical fitness. Rishabh Pant will resume playing competitive cricket after missing three months because of a foot fracture.

It is thought that the injury is specifically a fifth metatarsal fracture. Rishabh Pant was hit on his right foot by a delivery from Chris Woakes during the fourth Test of the five-match series against England. In order to return to batting, he withstood all the discomfort. Rishabh Pant team-first strategy, though, appears to have backfired somewhat because he was forced to skip the current home series against the West Indies.

Rishabh Pant shared a brief video that demonstrated the severity of his fitness recovery efforts.

He participated in numerous strength and conditioning and muscle-building exercises with what appeared to be the BCCI Centre of Excellence’s experts in Bengaluru. Pant appeared to be in excellent shape as he performed the various workouts.

Pant is anticipated to return to play for Delhi in the 2025–2026 Ranji Trophy season. A Delhi & District Cricket Association official recently stated that the stumper-batter will undoubtedly be ready for their October 25 second round match.

Talking about the England series where Pant was injured, the Haridwar native had amassed 479 runs in just four games, averaging 68.42 and hitting 77.63. He was unable to attend the series’ last game, in which the Indians won a thrilling 2-2 series draw. Pant was also left off of India’s 2025 Asia Cup team due to his injury.

The Men in Blue and the West Indies are presently engaged in a two-match red-ball series. They’ll then go on an eight-match white-ball series tour of Australia. There will be three ODIs and five T20Is in the limited-overs series in Australia. Pant will then make his comeback to international action in a multi-format series against the South African team.
